Split Decision: Low Boots for Fall

There was a short time a few years ago when I went through a biker phase. I invested in boots with lots of metal, studded jewelry and a moto-style jacket. However, I quickly realized I am about the farthest thing from a biker chick there could be. If anyone starts talking about a motorcycle, I'm usually quick to remark about how dangerous they are. As much as I love the look on others, I've since hung up my most of my studded pieces and embraced my more fitting grandma ways.

Though, every once in awhile, the heavy metal still calls to me. Especially, in the case of anything resembling these Chloé booties. I've loved them for a couple years, but never gave them a second thought as they are incredibly out of my price range. Now, the trend seems to be back, and brands are finally making a few more affordable alternatives. I like the idea of styling them with an incredibly simple outfit so that they really stand out. However, I also love the versatility of having a pair of minimalistic boots that go with every outfit. So, what do you think, keep it safe and simple or venture out with some boot bling?

P.S. If anyone knows of a similar more affordable alternative to the Rachel Comey color blocked boots (No. 3), please let me know. I love them, but I don't love them as much as their price!
